Shenzhen Institute for Drug Control) ABSTRACT Objective: To study the methods for spore counting using self-contained pressure biological indicator for steam steriliza- tion. Methods: A live bacteria counting method was applied in the recycling bacteria counting using the products from different manu- facturers with various eluent and plant-counting methods , tbe ANOVA analysis was used to statistically detect the di旺erence in the geo- metric average value of the recycling counting among the different treåtment groups. R臼ults: Sterilized purified water as the eluent , soybean-casein digest agar medium as the culture medium , vortex oscillation (with glass beads) as the broken form and pouring plate operation as the plate counting form would obtain beUer experimental results. Conclusion: Under the condition described above , the cost is reduced witb easy operation and promising recoveηof spore counting using self-contained pressure biological indicator for steam sterilization.
